Nathan Chandler holds a basket of plums. Chandler Farms in Selma is operated by Bill and Carol Chandler and their two sons, John and his brother Tom. Plums are grown by the family, which also grows raisin and wine grapes, almonds, peaches and nectarines. The family this year was inducted into the Agricultural Heritage Club for farming the same land in the state for more than 120 years.The last fresh plum to be harvested this year is the Angelino, a variety with light flesh and dark skin.
